Application

WT 20 82 E Water-Oil-Trap effectively protects gas analysers from water, acids, alkalis, liquid hydrocarbons and fine dust. It is installed directly upstream of the analyser and includes a bypass feature. The main gas stream is diverted while a partial flow feeds the analyser, enabling fast response times. Condensate is discharged via the bypass.

Technology

The WT 20 82 E employs a Dual-Membrane-System® to retain liquids (water, acids, alkalis, oils, gasoline) and fine dust. The stainless steel housing offers robustness and chemical resistance. The “Easy-Change” system allows quick removal and replacement of the inner diaphragm by loosening only the cover screws. All gas connections are located at the bottom of the housing. The unit is made in Germany and certified with a material test report, ATEX approval and helium-leakage testing.

Functions

The WT 20 82 E serves as a reliable protective device for gas analysers. In operation, the main gas stream is diverted via the bypass while a partial stream is directed to the analyser. Condensate and liquids are automatically discharged. The membrane’s flow orientation induces a self-cleaning effect. When saturation occurs, the upstream float flowmeter triggers an alarm. This design ensures dependable operation even in demanding environments.
